About Me

I love working for myself – I’ve been doing it for more than 15 years. I enjoy working with words and the English language – I’ve been using that for considerably longer.

I’m a keen traveller and happy to set up my laptop anywhere – a good view and a cup of tea are always inspiring!

Before going it alone, I started my career in sports event management before moving into sports communications, working with UK Sport’s Performance programme.

I’ve spread my net wider since then, but still keep my hand in with the sports world with an annual stint at Wimbledon, subediting the programme and website at The Championships.

I’ve helped a variety of clients over time – publishers, individuals, charities, public sector organisations and businesses – covering a range of subjects from travel and aviation, childcare and early education, local government, corporate training and even medieval history and supernatural fiction.

I’ll help you to produce clear and simple text and polish what you already have  to make it shine, whether you’re starting from scratch or adding that final flourish.
